On 16 June, the 1 million tonnes per annum coking construction project supporting Yuxi Xianfu Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. in Yunnan, undertaken by MCC5, reached a significant milestone as the formal bricklaying commenced for Coke Oven No. 2, marking the project's entry into its critical construction phase.

The project is designated as one of Yunnan Province's ‘Four Hundred’ key projects and a provincial-level key private investment initiative. Spanning 1,200 acres (approximately 80 hectares), the project carries an estimated total investment of 2.2 billion yuan. Upon completion, it will achieve an annual production capacity of 1 million tonnes of dry coke, ensuring stable coke supply while delivering cost reductions and efficiency gains.
